Module 6 Reflection

This module has helped me think about self-directed learners and the role of differentiation in the following ways….

My group has already discussed the way we form our groups of course. Making sure each group has a student that possesses leadership qualities and is pretty advanced academically that can help the struggling students when you can't. Also, having an extension menu ready for those advanced/self-directed learners would be great. Giving them an opportunity to learn the same material but go deeper into the concepts would benefit them immensely and an extension menu would require them to choose activities at the higher levels of blooms taxonomy.

Module 5 Reflection

The module has helped me think about student-centered assessment in the following ways:

I like the idea of having the students complete a rubric on themselves and then conferencing with them and comparing your rubric to their rubric. The students really take responsibility for their actions and learning throughout the unit by consistently going back to their rubric and self-assessing.
